As expected, the
House of Representatives under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi passed the bill that would take away your personal options on health care and make it the business of the U.S. government.
It's a travesty that such a slim majority of the House could trigger such an unconstitutional and draconian action.
But don't despair.
Don't get mad. Get even.
Some 220 members of the House are now, politically speaking, dead men walking. They have placed targets on their backs for the 2010 midterm elections. They have given the American people a year to plan retribution. And the planning should begin immediately.
It starts by continuing to put them on notice.
WND's "pink slip" program will continue until further notice. It's the perfect way to make your voice heard. And, keep in mind, these same members of Congress can create much more mischief in the year ahead. They need to know you are watching.
So far, 4.5 million of the pink slips have been sent to all 535 members of Congress. We're creeping up on the unprecedented 5 million mark. Let's make sure none of the members who voted for the nationalization of the health-care system will be without excuse. Keep up the pressure, now more than ever. None of those 220 members should have a restful night's sleep between now and next November. So, if you haven't yet participated in the "pink slips" campaign, it's not too late.
The dark cloud of the action Saturday night could actually have a silver lining.
Nationalization of health care is extremely unpopular with the American people. It will take some time for a bill to be passed by the Senate, for conference committees to reconcile the two bills, for Barack Obama to sign it into law.
