The Kids Know Gay is not OK
As others have said, there is no such thing as a "homophobe." No one is afraid of homosexuals. The vast majority of Americans do not want people's sexuality plastered everywhere, like Adam Lambert's display on the American Music Awards.
You can argue all you want, but homosexuality is not a normal behavior. It was classified as abnormal until 1973 when the American Psychiatric Association changed its mind. I was at LAX a few years ago, and I was using the restroom. Two young girls, about 5 and 7, came rushing in, yelling for their mother. The older girl said to the mom, "You know that guy we saw who had the pretty flowers? He just gave them to a guy and they kissed! Ew!" The mother replied, "We've talked about this. Some men like men like how your daddy likes mommy." The younger girl said, "I don't like it."
Kids KNOW. They have to be indoctrinated to believe that homosexuality is normal. This mother was trying to tell her kids it was normal, but these wise children knew deep down inside, just by witnessing this exchange, that homosexuality was not normal behavior.
You can argue all you want, but homosexuality will never be a "normal" behavior. It is not how we were made. Any human anatomy class will clear up any doubts or questions people may have. It is a lifestyle choice.
