I just received Glenn Beck's newsletter. I have been a loyal Glenn Beck fan since Glenn started his show on Fox. I have also been questioning Barack Obama's eligibility for over a year. The paragraph below appeared in the newsletter Monday, and I therefore, am no longer a Glenn Beck fan.
Beck on Birthers Birthing: ??
''Just like the notorious "seminar callers" Rush talks about, there is a new type of seminar caller out there trying to get on talk radio: the birther. Sure, there are plenty of idiots out there who actually think Barack Obama was not born in the United States and this is a way to get him impeached. But most reasonable people don't believe that. It's so ridiculous that it's actually a good distraction for Obama, because it's an easy win for him and distracts from the real issues. Is that why so many birthers seem to be on different talk shows lately?''
What a shame. But is it no surprise that a Mormon is deluded? Or is it that Glenn Beck has sold-out? Could be he is just fearful. Whatever it is, Beck's commentaries are now colored by his blindness and although he has an entertaining and humorous approach to his news magazine, the integrity of the United States is serious business.
Get out of the poppy fields Glenn and away from the Emerald City...
