In my Sept. 20 WND column, "
Another recipe for financial disaster," I laid out the plan for an air cleanup in the San Francisco Bay Area, as proposed by the unelected, nine-county Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
I said it will drastically change lives and cost everyone a lot of money. Those proposals cover everything from home fireplaces, cows, wineries, housing developments, energy and car usage, manufacturing emissions, tolls to "control" congestion plus restrictions on farming, dairies and construction.
I warned, "Watch out, America. What starts in California inevitably spreads and could wind up in your backyard."
Well, here it is, all aimed at our cars and trucks.
Last Friday, the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Transportation Department presented its "notice of intent" – the latest guidelines to rid us of those dreaded greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.
Oops, let me correct that. They don't call them guidelines yet – just scenarios.
