Pastor Rick Warren goes stupid again

between the lines Joseph Farah

Rick Warren goes stupid again

While millions of other Americans will be celebrating Independence Day weekend, Rick Warren, often called "America's Pastor," will be serving as the keynote speaker for a Saudi-backed Muslim group that promotes a radical strain of Wahhabi Islam in about 80 percent of U.S. mosques.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired of Rick Warren's bad judgments.

This time Warren will be schmoozing with the Islamic Society of North America, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood – just as are al-Qaida, Hamas and most other Muslim terrorist organizations.

ISNA puts on a façade of moderation, yet, according to terrorism expert Steven Emerson, it "convenes annual conferences where Islamist militants have been given a platform to incite violence and promote hatred."

After Hamas leader Mousa Marzook was arrested in 1997, ISNA raised money for his defense. He was eventually deported.

ISNA condemned the U.S. government's seizure of the financial assets of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad after Sept. 11.

Brigitte Gabriel combats politically correct notions about the "religion of peace" in "They Must be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How we Can Do It"

"I think ISNA has been an umbrella, also a promoter of groups that have been involved in terrorism," explains Emerson. "I am not going to accuse the ISNA of being directly involved in terrorism. I will say ISNA has sponsored extremists, racists, people who call for jihadagainst the United States."

I could go on with many more details about ISNA. Suffice it to say it is no friend of Christianity and no friend of America.

So what is Rick Warren doing speaking at the group's national conference?

I don't know what Warren's agenda is. He would probably say he doesn't have one. But I can tell you the effect of his appearance – it is designed to disinfect and rehabilitate a group that is dangerous and subversive to U.S. national security.

Islamic Society reaches out to other faiths

The Plainfield-based Islamic Society of North America is holding out hope President Barack Obama might make an appearance at its convention this year in Washington, D.C., over the Fourth of July weekend.

But even if Obama doesn't show, the nation's largest Muslim organization already landed a high-profile guest: Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren.

He will join a panel discussion that is the main session of a four-day convention expected to attract 40,000 Muslims from across the country. Warren will be joined on the panel by Islamic Society President Ingrid Mattson and noted Muslim scholar Hamza Yusuf, among others.

"We are living in a pluralist country. It is critical for us to have positive relationships with people of other faiths," said Sayyid Syeed, a longtime leader with the Islamic Society who focuses on building the organization's interfaith ties. "(Warren) realizes that it is equally critical for him to work with people of other faiths."

Shame on you, Rick Warren and Your Master

Look at it this way... What is the source of atheists' right to do anything? The Declaration of Independence says all rights flow from the Creator. No creator, no rights – it's that simple.

''The love of money AND the lack of money is the root of all evil.''

Christians need to go on the offense, but first we need to take a stand on our beliefs, know how to defend them and then become militant in our charity, our preaching, our revealing of corruption and the education of our future generations. If this sounds like madness or recklessness, then consider that socialists and sexual-rights advocates have been very militant in the culture, courts and education centers, effectively converting generations away from Christianity.

I finally have come to the reality that history has not been accidental on the part of the men and women who actually run our country. These people are the private bankers who comprise the Federal Reserve, and these people are run by the Council on Foreign Relations. A quick check of the membership lists of the CFR, along with a similar check of those who control the media, finance and political structure of our country, will reveal these to be the same people.

I don't doubt the suffering caused by Israel's bombing of Gaza, and I don't doubt that many innocents are victims. Of course, had Hamas not been launching missiles against the population of Israel Gaza would have been left undisturbed. Enough is enough. Arabic is a language easily taken to exaggeration and hyperbole. The easy use of the word genocide is an instance of this Arab habit.

"The Family" and Its Hijacking of Evangelicalism

Information sometimes comes to me in the midst of my own disorganization. I knew there had been a purported evangelization meeting between New Age leaders and Evangelicals. The official line was that this was a type of missionary outreach to New Agers. Although I suspected from the beginning that deeper compromise was afoot, I would not have conclusive evidence until 2007 of the Institute of Noetic Sciences role. It was not until 2008 that I learned of the sophisticated financial underpinnings. The Unification Church seduction and purchase of much of the Christian right had been obvious many years earlier.........
